Private Party Facility Rental
The Family Museum will be made available on a contractual basis to private parties who wish to rent the facility between Memorial Day and Labor Day.Private party facility rental is available between the hours of 5pm and 8pm. Setup times must be made ahead of time with an authorized Family Museum official.
Fees and Payment
Fee for private party facility rental is $300 plus a $100 refundable minor damage deposit, and reservations are confirmed upon payment of a $150 deposit. In addition to the $300 fee, there will be a $3 per person charge for each guest who attends. A full refund of deposits will be given if cancellation of event is made in writing no less than 14 days in advance.Payment of the remainder of the rental fee and proof of supplemental insurance is required no less than 3 days in advance.
What's Included
Private party facility rental includes use of the Family Museum's Great Hall, Exhibit Gallery and Celebration Room. At least one Family Museum employee will be on site during setup, the entire event and teardown. Additional room arrangements can be made in advance (additional fees may apply).12 banquet style tables and up to 125 chairs are made available at no additional cost. Arrangements for said tables and chairs must be made no later than three weeks in advance of event. Additional amenities such as table cloths, party favors, A.V. equipment, easels, stage, etc can be made available if arrangements are made three weeks in advance of event (additional fees may apply). Lessee is responsible for setup and teardown.
Additional Policies
Alcoholic beverages are permitted as long as guests consuming said beverages are properly identified as of legal drinking age. The lessee may not charge for alcoholic beverages.
Facility is not open to the public for lessee to charge admission. Lessee must act as host and may not charge for goods or services at said event.
At events in which minors will be present, there must be at least a 6:1 child to adult ratio.
All rentals are subject to Family Museum Board approval.

The renting party is responsible for providing the Family Museum with proof of supplemental liability insurance. The renting party is responsible for any damage, accidents or injuries that may occur during said party. Supplemental liability insurance coverage must be at least $300,000. If alcohol is provided at said event, supplemental liability insurance coverage must be at least $1,000,000. The Family Museum and the City of Bettendorf are to be listed as additional insured on your policy. Supplemental liability insurance can usually be acquired by contacting your home-owners insurance company, and asking for a one-day insurance rider to your home-owners insurance policy.

Use of meeting rooms and the facility in no way implies Family Museum endorsement of ideas expressed in the meetings and parties, or of the aims and goals of the organizations using the facilities. In case a question is raised as to the objectives and activities of any organization, group or individual requesting use of the meeting rooms or facility, the Family Museum Board shall be the final authority in granting or refusing permission for the use of the rooms. Organizations may not advertise the use of the Museum facility in any way that implies sponsorship or endorsement by the Family Museum other than to indicate the name and address of the facility. Interpretation of this policy is left to the discretion of the Family Museum Director or her/his designee. Final authority rests with the Board of Trustees.
